POWERS PERMISSIONS & OPT OUT.
 Wanda has the power to read thoughts and sense emotions, both superficial and deeply guarded — so deeply, at times, the memories may exist in recesses of the mind that even the owner is not fully cognizant of. Along with this ability, and particularly with those who are open to it, she is able to communicate with her thoughts, alone, and hold conversations thusly with a partner.  Against those she deems an enemy, or at least against whom she must defend herself, Wanda has the capacity (albeit a lesser inclination, of late) to manipulate the minds of others. She can cast a powerful hypnosis to incapacitate her opponent; along with this ability, besides compelling said opponent to behave as she designs, she can manipulate their greatest fears and trap them there. Wanda can also use these powers for good, to soothe rough emotions and anxiety, and to combat mental manipulation from another source. |

CONTENT WARNING / OPT-OUT: Depending on her canon point (for the purposes of the game SPRINGWOOD, it's post-WandaVision), Wanda comes with varying degrees of trauma and resulting PTSD, and content related to that trauma includes self-death, death of loved ones, and genocide. May Wanda read your character’s thoughts/surface emotions? Yes. Eddie is an extremely emotional character and more than half the time, his feelings are written on his face anyway. I usually go into detail about what he's feeling so you're more than welcome to take cues from that for what she might read off of him.
IF YES, what she might find: It'll be pretty obvious each situation. But in general, she'll notice that his mind definitely suffers from some serious anxiety and even some mild psychosis. He feels guilty easily over things he can't control, and he walks around with the weight of having seen his future death as well.
IF NO, what type of block: If there's ever any sort of block, I could see it be when Eddie's panicking and that would just be like a wall of loud noise because that might as well be what his head turns into.
Can Wanda mentally manipulate your character? Yeah! We can discuss the situation prior or if it's something minor feel free to ask in OOC or the header if it's cool to do it at that time and 9 times out of 10 I'll say yes.

Further notes if applicable: Eddie has ....a suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper minor Shine ability that at times lets him know things he probably shouldn't. And they're never very exact. It's done super vague in the book, as in Eddie seeing his mom telling his friends to go away when he's in the hospital even though he was knocked out cold when it happens. I usually only have this happen with semi-important to important things, giving him a sort of "sense" that could easily be written off by people who aren't too observant (it is also never gonna be SUPER SPECIFIC either). Feel free to let me know if you want to play with this at all or just avoid it entirely (sorry I know it's not a super concise explanation but honestly it's a SUPER vague Shine ability in general so)

Y w/caveats, Steve's thoughts are very solid/fully formed and organized, though I feel like at some point or another they probably talked about the difference b/w picking those out in battle versus everyday life and that Steve (and others) would appreciate it if she worked on ways to put a lid on it at the dinner table.

IF NO, what type of block: Not a hard NO, as such, but Steve's naturally reserved and methodical about processing his thoughts/feelings, however strong they are, so it might sometimes be harder to get a read on him.

May Wanda read your character’s thoughts/surface emotions? Yes, but if Tony finds out she's doing it he's going to be irritated. Tony's emotions and thoughts are like how he talks, jumping from thing to thing to thing in bursts that are there half a second and gone the next. So he's a bit all over.
IF YES, what she might find: Guilt, worry, the fact he carries all his failures and traumas with him because what is letting go. I'll delve into stuff more if it comes up as we go.
IF NO, what type of block: He doesn't have a block of his own, but Kilgrave's controlled him in the past and F.R.I.D.A.Y. now has protocols for defense/offense in situations where Tony's showing abnormal brain activity/patterns/etc. If Tony is reading massively distressed by whatever's going on F.R.I.D.A.Y. will shut things down.
Can Wanda mentally manipulate your character? Maybe…? Some situations I'm open to it, but it'll essentially be a bridge burner in all, but the rarest of circumstances. Ask me if it comes up and we'll go over it.

IF YES, what she might find: the biggest secret he has (which isn't a super secret anymore by a longshot) is that he's the punisher/a murderer/whatever. he originally kept it to himself because he didn't want to frighten anyone but he's kind of beyond caring anymore.

IF YES, what she might find: He's quietly observant of the surroundings and is an empath. Other than this, his hidden memories are about fighting in wars and having to 'save the world' because his world's goddess asked him to. There's a lot of complex thoughts that I can elaborate on if/when needed, just let me know.
Can Wanda mentally manipulate your character? I'm not so sure about this, as his blessing from his goddess in his world protects him blanket from mental manipulation. People with similar abilities have been shown to be able to control beasts with godlike strength bent on destruction, though Alex is not aware of this himself.

CANON: X-Men Movies (Original Trilogy)
May Wanda read your character’s thoughts/surface emotions? Yes when in disguise, no when in her natural form. Mystique's own mind is extremely resistant if not immune to telepathy, but when in disguise she puts out a psychic 'blanket' of surface thoughts flavoured as the person she's disguised as.
What she might find (disguised mind): Psychic blanket thoughts: Tomorrow's laundry list, what nice weather it is today, whether that zit on her tummy is worth seeing a doctor about...etc.
What type of block: Beneath the psychic blanket would be a layer of painful static to discourage further probing, and underneath that is absolute mental silence. If Wanda were to scan Mystique in her natural form that's all she'd pick up unless Mystique were deliberately projecting.
Can Wanda mentally manipulate your character? Maybe? We'd have to discuss. Mystique's very resistant to mental suggestion, so anything Wanda tried to plant might not last long.

Rafe thinks/focuses very hard on controlling himself, his emotions and reactions, just...everything about himself is under an iron control/awareness at practically all times so. That is the basic outer chestnut of this bad boy.
IF YES, what she might find: Uhhhh ya gonna find a hell of a temper, like. He is a self-made human pressure cooker that should honestly have imploded thirty six years ago from all the standards and expectations he shoulders. His mind is always calculating and working, almost robot rational, but. Real talk there's almost always going to be at least some sub-thread of thought about Nathan Drake. Sorry not sorry.

IF YES; In terms of what can be found - Daylight is usually bubbly and happy individual. He's genuinely optimistic and friendly as he presents himself to be with others. Sometimes gawky and awkward but his heart is in the right place. Now and then there'll be a spike or an undercurrent of anxiety and fear, mostly stemming from the fact he's dead. That and the fact he feels like he failed his friends. Not only for being fooled by someone he thought he could trust despite their misgivings but because he's doesn't know if taking the shot really saved them or not.
If Wanda asks how Daylight died or is around when a situation causes him to remember it, Wanda will first feel fear and pain as the strongest emotions. Followed by a sense of betrayal and guilt, and something akin to anger but that's a distant, distant fifth. Daylight will attempt to brush these feelings aside with his usual cheer but there'll be a fake quality to it now until he's calmed down.

Further description; Daylight and Wanda should meet up and do stuff together...! I think Daylight would be fascinated by Wanda's abilities and want to ask about it (if she's alright with that...!) Further notes if applicable: Daylight has something known as an EM Field in his universe. Basically, a series of frequencies that a Galateion broadcasts. It comes in what can be described as 'waves' and can only be picked up by robots and mechanoids since this broadcasts the feelings/more complex thoughts of a Galateion.

May Wanda read your character’s thoughts/surface emotions? Some, but within reason. I'll try to give you a heads up in the narrative which will be accessible to her and which might not be. Surface thoughts are fine, but he has a healthy mental resilience due to the ghost issue, he's accustomed to sort of closing his mind off otherwise he'd never sleep lmao. She'd be able to break it down if she probed at him but he wouldn't trust her if she did that to him without consent.
IF YES, what she might find: Not much in terms of secrets or anything, unless I guess that's how you want Wanda to find out about the ghosts? Gene's mind is a very soft, well-ordered place that is sort of like... the mental equivalent of an old, abandoned Church being reclaimed by nature in a nice sunlit field. So there's that air of melancholy and solemnity but there's beauty and peace to it as well.

IF NO, what type of block: he has some pretty strong mental wards in place because he, uh, used to be a magical villain, but think of it like walking through a huge forest. your feet crunch warm leaves, the sun is bright but not scalding. the trees are green. and it's not bad, exactly, but it just goes on and on and on, and you might not notice how lost you are at first. isolating or calming? depends on the perspective. walking through the forest of his mind might let her see a glimpse or two of something that isn't calm trees (like a metaphorical hawk or something), but it's unlikely to be more than a brief encounter unless she really presses against his mental defenses.

He's very much less developed than the Bucky she's met, his sense of self is just starting to piece itself together, and she miiiight pick up that he's a little bit disassociated right now, as in, "Bucky" and "the Soldier" kind of talk to each other in the back of his head.

May Wanda read your character’s thoughts/surface emotions? Y; Peter is more chilled out now but he's still generally expressive, he's also been around enough psychics in his life that this ain't a big deal to him.
IF YES, what she might find: Feeling like a failure is likely the biggest one, since he died getting his ass handed to him by Jean and was unable to protect the rest of the team. He's got his speed nerfed a bit so he's p salty about not being nearly as fast as he used to be and the frustration of having to adjust to that, on top of all the vague feelings of uselessness and borderline nihilism. He doesn't tend to inject that into conversation at all except when he's lowkey making fun of himself to lighten the mood, but she won't need to dig very deep to find all that good stuff.
